peter-okoye-abandons-lola-omotayo-for-another-woman

Men will always be men, imagine Peter Okoye, one of the P Square boys, whose feud between them was recently settled, is now having an affair and this is authoritative.

Yes, he confessed through his Twitter timeline that even this new affair, Lola Omotayo, his better-half and mother of two will be jealous of her.

Oooopssss! Not what you think! He just shared these photos of the newest addition to his garage…a brand new 2014 Bentley GT. The car is said to be worth N30million!

Check out his tweets and the interior of the new ‘wife’.

AGN BoT Chairman, Prince Ifeanyi Dike Blasts Clarion Chukwura

Veteran actress, Clarion Chukwura might be having it all rosy in her endeavours, but might need to watch how she airs her opinion about some certain issues concerning the administration of Nollywood in the country.

The recent statements credited to the actress in various publications about the current administration of the Actors Guild Of Nigeria (AGN) has left the Chairman, Board of Directors of the guild, Prince Ifeanyi Dike, in bitter mood and has rebuked Clarion for that.

According to Ifeanyi, rather than making statements here and there, Clarion should have called Ibinabo Fiberesima to offer her a reasonable advice rather than tongue lashing her.

“Everybody is entitled to any opinion such a person decides to hold at a point in time”. However, I am reacting to Chukwurah’s unilateral decision to attack her junior in the industry without trying to call her to order first physically. Had she taken the pains to do that and she failed to see reason. It wouldn't have been too much if she took her matter to elders like me”, he maintained.

“Boko Haram Will Start Bombing Major Govt. Headquarters From July” - Primate Ayodele

Man of God, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, shares some of the messages in his coming predictions book with us. Excerpt…

Are you still standing on your prediction that the missing Malaysian plane will be found?
God has not said otherwise. In fact, the Malaysian government must be queried for closing matters on the search in the first place. That direction they say they are searching for the plane is just shadow-chasing. There is nothing there. That plane’s issue is political; it is beyond the water issue. Expect more to come out of that issue than the plane crashing into the sea.

Do you foresee the federal government of Nigeria winning the war against Boko Haram because the sect seems becoming more daring by the day?
Let the government of the day address the Boko Haram’s issue in such a way that God will be brought in. Let the government seek the face of God in tackling Boko Haram matter. Boko Haram is not relenting in its campaign to destroy Nigeria. Let the government seek God’s intervention. We need to seek God’s direct intervention rather than force to fight Boko Haram because they still have plans to bomb major markets. I foresee foreign intervention in the fight against Boko Haram because Nigerians already believe that their government is incapable of fighting the sect. I still foresee Boko Haram attacking major government buildings and high rise buildings across Nigeria. Even Aso Rock is not safe. Boko Haram is not alone in this terror act, there are three major sects involved in fighting the government and what they are fighting for is to ensure the disintegration of Nigeria. And the people sponsoring Boko Haram are within, outside the country and are in President Goodluck Jonathan’s government. Let the government take the warning from God serious on all matters.

You once said that Boko Haram leader, Shekau, would not be captured alive; is the situation still the same?
God has not changed that too. Shekau will not be captured alive but he will be killed in the battle front. But God said that Boko Haram will be weakened spiritually, not through the physical combat. And don’t forget that we said it earlier this year that there was going to be an attack on Abuja. The government should work more on security so that Nigerians can be protected.

What do you foresee of the outcome of this national conference?
Not every recommendation suggested by this confab will be implemented by the federal government. Yes, the confab will make useful suggestions in favour of all geo-political zones and the confab members will tell the government what Nigerians desire but not all will be taken seriously by the federal government. Also, God said Nigerians should go into serious prayers from this month of April in order to avert the imminent bloodbath.

The increasing security problems, do you foresee it affecting the chances of President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term agenda?
Jonathan will make headway but it is not going to be an easy thing. There will be elections in 2015 but the security problem will affect the elections. Election will not be conducted everywhere as we are expecting. There will be bomb scare in various states as election is going on.

When are we expecting this year’s prediction book, Warnings To The Nation?
We are releasing the 2014/2015 edition in July this year. And you will have everything God is saying concerning Nigeria, Africa and the world in general in that book. Nigeria really needs a lot of prayers to survive the current security challenges. There should be overhauling of the security in Aso Villa, the office of President Jonathan. Those concerned should listen to this warning from God. Jonathan must be very watchful of his personal security and the presidential aircraft. Every object in that villa must be watched keenly.

What has God revealed to you about the PDP, APC battle for control in 2015?
I still do not foresee APC taking the central control in 2015. And in some Southwest States like Oyo, Ogun, Osun and Rivers, APC must be very careful otherwise PDP will take over governments in those states. The country’s economy will be worse off towards 2015. But God said that President Jonathan will make some positive changes if he is still in office after 2015.

On the sports arena, what have you seen?

I do not foresee Keshi finishing his tenure because of the problems he will have with NFF. Nigeria would not perform as expected at the World Cup. We should not expect much from Nigeria at the World Cup. Besides, there is a lot that still needs to be done in the education sector. There would be so many changes especially in the UTME. Some universities hoping to get licences would be stopped. ASUU would still go on strike, doctors would still go on strike. And Nigeria’s economy will not be fantastic in 2014. The price of food items will go up. Some markets will be shut down in the Eastern part of the country and in the Southern part. Prices of garri, palm oil and flour will go up. Price of vegetable will go up. Jonathan’s presidential economic team will fail him. Some ministers will be eased out while new ones will come in.

Oh No Leave Lola out of this, We are family and will sought things out – Jude Okoye

Elder brother of P-Square, Jude Okoye has defended Peter’s wife, Lola Omotayo and that people should leave her alone and stop harassing her over the little fracas recently happened within the Okoye music family.

Spending face-to-face time with other people is necessary to build true friendships.

As I have had the privilege to talk with young men and young women throughout the Church, I have often heard that while a great many of you are interested in building better friendships with those of the opposite sex, you often struggle with knowing exactly how to make that happen.

It would seem that with all of the social media, we should easily be better connected than ever before. In ways, however, technology may be causing us to have relationships that are less meaningful. Merely tweeting, texting, emailing, and friending cannot genuinely create a well-rounded relationship. Spending real face-to-face time with other people is necessary to build true friendships.

It is time for you, our wonderful youth, to bring back the old definition for when young men and young women get together for a social experience.
It is time for you, our wonderful youth, to bring back the old definition for when young men and young women get together for a social experience. You may have heard the term; this experience was once referred to as a date.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Many of you have questions regarding dating and the counsel given in the new For the Strength of Youth pamphlet. Here are some of the questions I have been asked, along with answers from this wonderful guidebook.

I’m not sure if I’m ready to date. Are there any special reasons why I should?
Dating is relevant for a number of reasons. For the Strength of Youth explains that a date “allows a young man and a young woman to get to know each other better. In cultures where dating is acceptable, it can help you learn and practice social skills, develop friendships, have wholesome fun, and eventually find an eternal companion.”

We hear that we should not date before we are 16 and never date anyone seriously while we are young. Why?

For the Strength of Youth says: “You should not date until you are at least 16 years old. When you begin dating, go with one or more additional couples. Avoid going on frequent dates with the same person. Developing serious relationships too early in life can limit the number of other people you meet and can perhaps lead to immorality.”

A young man wants me to go on a date, but I don’t really feel like he has my same standards. What should I do?

For the Strength of Youth teaches: “Choose to date only those who have high moral standards and in whose company you can maintain your standards. … Always be kind and respectful when you ask for a date or when you accept or decline one.”

Sometimes I can’t think of any ideas for dates besides watching a movie. What should I do?

For the Strength of Youth gives these helpful principles: “Plan dating activities that are safe, positive, and inexpensive and that will help you get to know each other. Go only to places where you can maintain your standards and remain close to the Spirit.”

Dating is intended to be a chance for social relationships that can establish many friendships.
Those four simple criteria—dates that are safe, positive, inexpensive, and where the Spirit remains close—leave room for many great dates.

As I have reflected with my wife on our early dating experiences, those that stand out most were the times when there was little or no cost, when we were with at least one other couple, and we were able to have meaningful conversations and interaction.

Protecting Each Other’s Virtue
Let me conclude with another important quote from For the Strength of Youth and then one last point. First, “Remember that a young man and a young woman on a date are responsible to protect each other’s honor and virtue.” As you go on dates, make sure to do nothing of which you would ever be ashamed. As President Thomas S. Monson taught, “In dating, treat your date with respect, and expect your date to show that same respect for you.”

The Difference between Dating and Courting
Finally, although some have defined dating as “courting,” dating in the Church among youth does not imply that they are “going steady” or can date no others. By Church standards, dating is intended to be a chance for social relationships that can establish many friendships.

As you enter your adult years—after missions for young men—then the Lord says, “Neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 11:11). This is the time that dating becomes courting as stressed in For the Strength of Youth: “Make dating and marriage a high priority. Seek a companion who is worthy to go to the temple to be sealed to you for time and all eternity. Marrying in the temple and creating an eternal family are essential in God’s plan of happiness.”

Onyeka Onwenu to Launch Phones for Women in Distress

Onyeka Onwenu, present director general, National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) recently disclosed that her organization is teaming up with Tingo Mobile Limited to launch a phone with special applications to assist women in distress in Nigeria.

According to the ‘Iyogogo’ crooner, the phone will address the lack of access information by women and also to assist them in trade facilitation.
She said the mobile device will also help to prevent violence against women and girls in the country.

"This application also has a feature with which by pressing a digit, a woman who is being subjected to violence or assault can contact security agencies in her vicinity," she said.

"It is also being expanded and built upon, to help address the current security challenges in the country."

She said they were also partnering with all security agencies in case of emergency, adding women at the grassroots would also have access to what the Federal Government was doing to empower them

"There is a number these women can press and engage all security personnel," she said.

Dozie Nwaobasi, chief executive of Tango Mobile, said the application will connect buyers and sellers of products and commodities using their mobile phones to facilitate trade thereby boosting their economic profile.

He said the Tango mobile connects women to information, regarding government programmes designed to better their lives.

Tiwa And Tee Billz Dubai Wedding, Security Tightened

On Saturday April 26, 2014, Nigerians and the world will be treated to another fairy-tale wedding, involving one of Nigerian most celebrated female singer, Tiwa Savage and her manager turned lover, Tee Billz.

This is coming after about five months the lovebirds had a carnival-like traditional marriage at the Ark Vicinity, Lekki, Lagos.

Meanwhile, as the day of honour approaches, Mrs Tiwa Billz has already lodged into her swanky suite at the Armani Hotel, Dubai in preparation for the ceremony which is said to be strictly by invitation. Security arrangements is said to be very tight just as there will be strict adherence to guest lists.

However, some fans and public commentators have raised eyebrows on such weddings outside the shores of Nigeria.

Let Jonathan rescue abducted school girls now, says Soyinka

Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has lashed out at President Goodluck Jonathan administration for its inability to rescue the 234 female students abducted from a secondary school in Chibok, Borno State by Boko Haram.
Soyinka also criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for participating and dancing at the Kano political rally barely a few hours after the dastardly Nyanya bombing that took the lives of over 75 innocent Nigeria and abduction of over the two hundred female students from Chibok by Boko Haram gunmen.
Soyinka made his feeling known in Port Harcourt at the declaration of the State capital as the World Book Capital Wednesday.
The Nobel Laureate emphasised that though there might be hundreds of soldiers deployed to forests in Adamawa, Yobe and Boron States, the predicament of the abducted girls who are marooned in a dangerous forest at this moment, should spur the federal government to take the battle to the Boko Haram sect and rescue the abducted girls who now face the ultimate horror that confronts the country.

Former Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova dead at 45

Former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova died on Friday at the age of 45 after a prolonged battle against cancer, the club announced.
Vilanova was diagnosed with cancer of the salivary gland more than two years ago and was forced to step down as Barcelona boss last July due to ongoing health problems.
“FC Barcelona is sad to inform that Francesc ‘Tito’ Vilanova Bayo has passed away today at the age of 45,” Barcelona said in a statement.
“The death of our former coach came about this afternoon after he could not overcome the illness he had been fighting since 2011.
“The club wishes to express its deep condolences to his family, with whom we share this painful moment along with the club members, fans and the whole world of football and sport.”
Barcelona also announced that a space will be opened at their Camp Nou stadium for those willing to pay their respects over the next few days.

http://fujiipop.wordpress.com/2014/04/24/reasons-apc-pdp-are-in-fresh-crisis

A fresh crisis between the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress, APC has taken a new dimension.
The PDP in Osun State has moved to stop a proposed candle light procession APC is organising for the late Bola Ige in the state.
Mr. Bola Ajao, the Publicity Secretary of PDP in the state, claimed that the proposed procession is aimed at breaching peace and orderliness in Osun State, hence the PDP will not allow it happen.
He stated that “The Osun PDP is aware of a clandestine plot consummated between Ogbeni Aregbesola and a Nobel Laureate to mobilise an army of occupation; a harvest of vulnerable youths, kit them in black costumes and vests with the inscription ‘Who Killed The Man.’
“These miscreants from among those whom we had earlier advised that should be put on security watch list are billed to embark on a candle-light procession.
“The security agencies are hereby enjoined to be on top of the public order requirement of their engagement. When a group of hapless youths are clone like Boko Haram initiates to be asking, ‘who killed the man’, the palpable question is “which man”, is it Olagbaju in Ife, Agunmo gara in Ilesha East, Flamingo in Ikirun and so on?
“It is the ensuing diverse reactions that may lead to the breach of the public peace, law and order as it takes two to tango. They may think they are wooing the masses; they are indeed sowing the seed of their comeuppance.
“This idea is sheer madness. It will cause pandemonium and chaos. It is a wild goose chase. It is an ill wind that will blow no one any good. Osun State should not be made to become a theatre of the absurd,” Ajao explained.
But this move has sparked controversies among members of the two political parties. Mr. Kunle Oyatomi, the Director of Research and Publicity of the APC, argued that “The PDP is a victim of its own conscience. If anybody is planning a vigil to commemorate the vicious killing of a prominent Nigerian, why should that bother the PDP?”

Boko Haram: NDLF Calls On President Goodluck Jonathan To ‘Step-Up Or Quit’

The Nigeria Democratic Liberty Forum (NDLF) yesterday called on President Goodluck Jonathan to "step up or quit" office if he is unable to eliminate Boko Haram.

In a statement released in New York and signed by its Executive Director, Mr. Bukola Oreofe, the group charged that the Jonathan administration has demonstrated gross ineptitude in matters of state, including on Boko Haram, and that he should either step up or quit office in order to prevent country-wide imminent chaos.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalm 23

Borno Christians begin fasting for abducted school girls

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Borno state has declared fasting from Monday to Wednesday to seek divine intervention for the release of the abducted students of the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok.

Rev. Titus Pona, the chairman of the association in the state, announced the fasting to newsmen on Sunday in Maiduguri.

“We are calling on all Christians in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa and even beyond to begin a three- day fasting and prayer session to seek for God help for the release of the abducted girls. The continued stay of these girls in the abductor’s camp has created worry in the minds of the parents and other well-meaning Nigerians.

We pray that through prayer, God will touch the hearts of the abductors so that they will release them, ’’ Pona said.

Pona also urged the insurgents to dialogue with government if they had any grievances.

“We call on the insurgents to please put down their arms and dialogue with government, either at the state or at the federal level. They should release the girls in the name of God because only 43 girls were reported to have escaped from the abductors.

Pona appealed to the Federal Government to deploy more troops to rural areas in Borno, following increased attacks by the insurgents.

“Since the insurgents are increasingly attacking villages and rural communities, government should deploy more troops to the areas to safeguard lives and property,’’ he said

Every man knows what he wants in bed–Movie star Lydia Forson

Lydia Forson, a notable Ghanaian actress, is one of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) brand ambassadors for its forthcoming 10th anniversary. In an interview with MERCY MICHAEL at Emperor Palace, Jonanesburg, South Africa, venue of the AMAA nominees’ party, she talks about her growing up and other interesting issues.
YOU are one of the brand ambassadors for the 10th anniversary of Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA); so, how challenging has it been?
Actually, I won’t use the word challenging; rather, I will say it has been overwhelming. In fact, it has been a great blessing because people I look up to are now suddenly looking up to me. It takes time to get used to that. I am really honoured to be in this position. For me, the Africa Movie Academy Awards embodies everything I believe in as an actor. There is need to project Africa to the world. It’s about time we started telling our stories. We always sit down and complain when other people tell our stories. We know that they don’t tell it the way we want, but can we blame them? So, the only way Africa can be heard is if we present a united front. Therefore, this, for me, is a calling, which I have already embarked on.
When you say it’s a calling you have already embarked on, does it mean you are going to continue in this capacity after the celebration?
Yes. I believe that as actors, we amass so much power, but we don’t tap into the power that we have. Yes, I love to make movies and make people laugh. But my calling as an actor is beyond making people laugh. It’s also about educating people. I don’t want to be called Lydia Forson, the Ghanaian actress. I want to be called Lydia Forson, the African actor. That is my journey and AMAA has just helped me a step further.
What would you say has been the highpoint since your appointment as an AMAA ambassador?
It might seem trivial to people, but I take pleasure in some little things. Most recently, I was invited to be part of the AMAA sponsors’ night and I just thought I came there to grace the event. But I was called to make a speech in front of the Governor of Bayelsa State. I’m used to be the one sitting down and people of such status talking to me. But I felt so honoured being asked to address the Managing Director of Skye Bank Plc and so many personalities at the event. I just hope that I made an impression. But whether I did or not, I am going to make the most of it.
What door of opportunity has the appointment opened for you?
As I said, it’s been overwhelming. I like to be called an actor. I don’t think I’m a celebrity in anyway. I love to make movies; and, of course, it has opened doors for more scripts. I have a few ones I’m working on. A lot of people have been taking more notice of me, though not even in movies; they’ve been more interested in the speeches that I give and things that I say about African films. So, it has created a new followership, not just for my movies, but for my personality.
Talking about your speech-making, did you receive any grooming to be able to pull that off each time you are called to make a speech?
I don’t even know if I make good speeches. I just like to speak from my heart. That was the first thing that I learnt while I was growing up. If you are honest with yourself, you can be honest with others. But if you are not honest with yourself, then, probably you will need to make up things to say. But I’ve always maintained that, regardless of what people think of me, I’m going to speak my mind and hopefully my speech will inspire people or change the way they think. I didn’t undergo any kind of training. I listen to people and I’ve learnt from a lot of people. I’ve been trained by the world.
What has helped shape the person you are?
I will attribute it largely to good family values. I come from a very creative family. My father is a Reverend, while my mother was a house wife. In their little way, I saw beauty in everything they did. I had strong values. But I think right from the day I was born, my father said if you tell Lydia to sit down, she will ask you why and not where will I sit. My parents allowed me to have an opinion. But in having that opinion, they checked it. So, I respect people’s opinions. I may not agree with your opinion, but respect is the most fundamental thing. And so, when you respect people, I think it’s in everything that you do.
By virtue of your relationship with AMAA, will it affect the kind jobs you do?
If I was hitherto selective, I have to even be more selective now. This is because I don’t just represent Lydia Forson, but I represent Ghana, Nigeria and Africa as a whole. It has opened doors for more movie roles. But I’ve had to ask myself, would I be selfish and do what I want or do I sacrifice myself for the calling?
Why do you like to wear your natural hair?
I find it funny when people say I’m an African woman because everybody is an Africa woman. My looks has never been inspired by the thinking that I want to be more African. It all boils down to being honest with myself. I can’t stand hair weaving. I’m not good at it and I had to make up my mind on what to do. Do I live up to the expectation people want me to live or I remain myself and do whatever makes me comfortable?
I must have had this hair since 2008. It was not something I created. I think it was just God. I had a salon problem. Everybody who knows me knows that I don’t wear weaves. Even when I had perm hair, it was just always my hair. I had a salon problem on my birthday and I went home, took scissors, cut my hair and that was it. I wish I could say I planned it, but it just happened.
Most plus-size actresses have challenges getting certain kinds of roles that are seen to be only for slim people. Could you share your experience with me?
I always try to be as realistic as possible when I’m answering this question because it’s so easy for me to say it’s not a problem. I want someone reading to know that she is not the only person going through these challenges. The truth is, I accepted my body years ago. But I have my days: there are days I look at myself and I’m not too happy and there are days I look at myself and feel like I’m so sexy. But the reality is, everybody, whether you are slim, short, tall, light or dark, you will have your days. But you have to accept yourself the way you are at that particular moment. If you can’t change it, rock it! Yes, the pressure sometimes makes you wanna lose weight. But I think my focus now is just being healthy. You don’t wanna be 30 and look 40. So, I’m not a strong advocate of lose weight and be a certain size. The truth is, everybody wishes that he or she was somebody else. No human being looks at himself or herself in the mirror and says, ‘I am perfect’. And that’s the message I like to put out there. People will look at me and say, ‘Oh! Lydia, you are so perfect. We love your body.’ No, I have my days. And there are days I’m like, you know what, I’m the best thing that ever happened to this world.
Is your size hereditary?
Yes, I’m a Fanti. I don’t think I’m a big girl. I think I’m just a buddilious girl. I just have a big butt and big boobs. Fanti women are just like that; they are very curvy. It is something that when I was six years old, I wanted it; but when I was in class six, I wanted it to go away. But you grow up and realize the truth that a man wants something he can hold on to. They may look at the skinny models. But they always know what they want in bed. It’s not x-rated, but I’m just saying they know what they want.
Which of your movie roles will you describe as most challenging in recent time?
Honestly, I’ve not got that movie yet. I love all the movies that I’ve been in, but I’m still looking for that thing. I love a movie that forces me to work hard. I love a huge challenge. So, I’m putting it out there. I’m looking for someone to challenge me by saying that, I’m going to give you this role, but I don’t think you can do it; and then, he or she goes ahead to give me the opportunity to prove to the people that I can.
What then is your dream role?
I like psychological movies and thrillers. I love movies that force the actor to become somebody else. When people watch the movie, I don’t want them to see Lydia Forson; I want them to see a character. That’s the kind of movie I want to do.
What role will you not play in a movie?
I never say never! So, I don’t know. Sometimes, you go and say something, but 10 years after, you are caught doing it. There are some situations I pray I’m never put into. But if it is for me to tell a story, why not?
Is acting what you have always wanted to do?
I’ve always been a story teller. My life is one big movie, but I never knew where to put it. Thank God someone created acting so that people like us can find somewhere to put ourselves.
What was your passion at age 15? I remember vividly that at 15, I wrote somewhere that I wanted to be rich and famous. That’s all. I didn’t know what I wanted to, but I knew I wanted to be rich.

Shan George in style

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) urges Nigerians to pray for the nation, for peace and unity in the country in the period of Easter celebrations and on Good Friday

The statement by the ruling party reads that Nigeria was blessed with human and natural resources that could be harnessed for the good of all, if the citizens learnt to live together in peace and harmony.
The party spokesman Olisa Metuh characterized Nigerians as peace-loving people, adding that the nation will overcome its current problems and challenges as exemplified in the triumph of Jesus Christ over death.
According to Metuh, it is important for everyone to permanently put behind all divisive tendencies and focus on the welfare of each other.

Popular and controversial Nollywood actress, Shan George, is a common name and face in the Nigerian movie industry.

The pretty light skinned actress is known for her great skills in bringing bad girl roles to life in several movies she has featured in.
Shan George  is always  known to be one actress with a lot of  controversies trailing her life, going from getting involved with younger guys to her recent foray into music.
This time around though, the Diva doesn't want to make headlines with a relationship or music album.
Shan George has taken her feeling online to express concerns about the way and manner some  people are adding unnecessary titles to their names.
She expressed her disappointment on her facebook page, saying:
“One of the biggest trends now is to add titles to one’s names. Dr, Ambassador, Chief, Engineer, High Chief, Double Chief etc.. In fact, it’s so bad that those who don’t have the chance to add any of the titles to their names have settled for Evangelist or Pastor.
"Well, starting from this moment, I shall be addressed as Pastor Chief Ambassador Shan George.”
Although, we really doubt anybody would be willing to address her like that.

Dad allegedly suffocates son to play video games

A Florida father is accused of suffocating his 1-year-old son to death so he could continue playing video games, according to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office.
Cody Wygant, 24, of Homosassa, was arrested and charged with 3rd degree murder and willful child neglect in the death of his son, Daymeon.
“It is inconceivable that a father could kill his infant son – it just baffles the mind,” Sheriff Jeff Dawsy said. “Our only sense of relief now comes from knowing that we did exactly what we needed to do to bring justice to him swiftly.”
Detectives were dispatched to the Bell Villa Mobile Home Park Thursday morning in response to a child in cardiac arrest. The child was taken to the Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.
In an interview with detectives, Wygant allegedly confessed to police that he put his hand over the child’s mouth and nose for 3-4 minutes to stop him from crying so he continue playing Xbox video games, according to an arrest narrative.
Police said Wygant told them he was frustrated that the child was crying uncontrollably and preventing him from playing his online games.
Afterward, the father said his son was lethargic and seemed exhausted, the arrest narrative states.
Wygant allegedly told police he then put the child in the playpen and covered his entire body with multiple layers of bedding to prevent him from receiving fresh air.
According to the arrest narrative, the father told detectives he did not check on the child for approximately five hours, during which time he played Xbox and watched three episodes of the television show “Fringe.”
Police said when Wygant eventually went to check on the child, he said the boy was blue, not breathing and unresponsive to rescue effort attempts.
The medical examiner said further testing is needed to determine a cause and manner of death, but they said there are serious concerns that the child was suffocated to death, according to the arrest narrative.
Wygant was born and raised in California and moved to Florida in January 2014. Police say he has no job or family in Florida. His only connection to the state is his girlfriend, who is the mother of the deceased child and Wygant’s 3-month-old daughter, who is now in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
“Our prayers go out to those who knew and loved Daymeon,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Abducted Students Narrate How They Escaped From Boko Haram

The terrorists suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect, numbering more than 100 stormed the school wearing army uniforms and deceived the schoolgirls into thinking they were soldiers who had come to evacuated them from an impending attack, unknown to them that they were being abducted.
The students, who had returned to sit for the on-going West African School Certificate (WASC) exams at their school despite a state-wide closure of educational centres in Borno because of recent Boko Haram attacks in the state, initially obeyed the armed visitors, thinking they were government troops there to protect them.
One of those who managed to escape the abductors, 18-year-old Godiya Isaiah told Reuters that “When we saw these gunmen, we thought they were soldiers, they told all of us to come and walk to the gates, and we followed their instructions.”
But when the armed men started ransacking the school stores and set fire to the building, the terrified girls being herded at gunpoint into vehicles realized they were being kidnapped.
“We were crying,” Godiya said, recounting how she later jumped from a truck and ran away to hide in the bush. Other girls were packed into a bus and some pick-ups.
Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima said at least 14 girls had managed to escape and reach safety.
Borno state education commissioner Inuwa Kubo said other girls told the same story as Godiya.
“They went into the bus unsuspecting,” he told Reuters.
“They were lured into the vehicle because they were told that the school was going to be attacked,” he added.
The attackers also raided nearby Chibok town, ransacking stores and offices there and killing several people, witnesses said.
The Military authorities announced last night that most students of the Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok have been freed in the ongoing Search & Rescue operations to free the abducted students.
